Each year, the Jarbidge Volunteer Fire Department holds a raffle to raise funds for its many activities. This raffle has helped purchase uniforms, improve our facilities, and generally make our little organization more responsive to community needs. In these days of tight finances, the JVFD needs private support to fund virtually everything. We have always sold tickets for the raffle at the businesses in town, but that keeps people who have an interest in Jarbidge, but might not often visit here, from being able to participate.
The prizes this year are a Remington 870 12-gauge shotgun and three $100 Visa cards (You need not be present to win, but you would have to pick up the shotgun in Jarbidge at some point).
If you will not be coming to Jarbidge before the October 27th drawing, you can buy tickets by mail. They are $1.00 apiece or six tickets for $5.00 (big discount!). If you are interested, please send a check (or cash, if you trust the mail) made out the Jarbidge Volunteer Fire Department. You can save us some money by including a self-addressed, stamped envelope. The address is:
